Mental health is Extreme. Make a difference with the Extreme Challenge

The Extreme Challenge series is a fundraising crusade for mental illness research.

Into its 12th year, the Extreme Challenge has seen participants run marathons, hike the Kokoda trail and challenge themselves to raise vital funds for mental illness. All money donated goes to our projects at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience to help us find better treatments and cures for bipolar, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety and suicide.

The Extreme Challenge specifically aims to highlight the benefits of regular exercise for mental health and encourages the participation of people living with a mental illness.

Proud Partners of the Rapid Ascent Surf Coast Century for the 7th year in a row!

We are proud to once again be the official charity partner of Rapid Ascent for the 2019 Surf Coast Century.

On the 21st of September our amazing Extreme Challengers will tackle the Rapid Ascent Surf Coast Century, a 100km ultra-marathon held in Anglesea, on the beautiful Great Ocean Road.

"This incredible race takes runners on an extraordinary journey below towering sea cliffs, along remote beaches and through the captivating wildflower hinterland on twisting single track where no two footsteps are the same.

As well as attracting many of Australia’s best runners, the Surf Coast Century also has a great reputation as the ideal event for those tackling their first ultra marathon due to the accessible course, terrific support services, easy logistics and the incredible energy around the course generated by all the supporters, other runners and event officials." - Rapid Ascent

Join us on the day to support our runners, or sign up now and start training for the Surf Coast Century!
